A Maryland mom decided to send her 18-year-old son a special care package after he returned to college in Pennsylvania.
Connor Cox said he thought the package would contain some necessities and goodies.
He says he quickly tore open the box only to find a lot of used tissue. It turned out that his mom had sent him a package of trash he was too lazy to take out when he was home for the holiday break.
She later explained, “I have raised and taught Connor better than this, and his actions deserve consequences — even if they are humorous.”
The mother and son had a verbal agreement that when he was home, he was to carry out all of his normal duties and chores.
Connor said, “I guess I thought I could get away with it all and have her clean it up, but she showed me otherwise.”
After Connor shared the box of trash on Twitter, his sister, Mackenzie, chimed in and said it was trash left all over his bedroom floor.
Connor then admitted that the trash on the floor was only one portion of the trash he was supposed to take out.
He confessed, “Most of the trash was hidden in my clothes drawers.” He said that he and his mom were ultimately able to laugh about it, and he learned his lesson.
