The cruise ship Equinox looked like it was on a collision course for a couples’ luxury $2.3 million Port Everglades, Florida home.
The homeowner ran out to wave desperately at the ship.
He says it stopped just 100 feet from his waterfront patio and he yelled "somebody is going to get fired".
The ship was heading out for a ten-night Caribbean cruise.
Usually the boat takes a different route, but that route was closed off after a fuel spill.
The ship was forced to maneuver past the couple’s home and it ended up drifting too far.
Royal Caribbean Cruises said the ship was navigating, 'under the guidance of specialized local port pilots. The ship operated safely and did not put guests or crew at risk.’
