In case you woke up this morning dying to know when you could watch a brand-new Avatar movie, you're in luck!
On Saturday, James Cameron and FOX announced that the 2009 sci-fi epic will finally receive its long-promised four (count 'em!) sequels, with the first scheduled to arrive in theaters on December 18, 2020.
Avatar 3 will then open on December 17, 2021, followed by Avatar 4 on December 20, 2024. For those still clamoring for more, Avatar 5 will arrive on December 19, 2025.
"Great to be working with the best team in the business!" the movie's official Facebook page declared in announcing the franchise release dates. "Avatartakes flight as we begin concurrent production on four sequels."
