Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson Says A Run For President Is A Real Possibility

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson says it’s “a real possibility” that he could run for office in the future and head to Washington, D.C.

A Washington Post op-ed suggested that Dwayne would’ve been a viable candidate last year, and now he told GQ magazine, “A year ago, it started coming up more and more.”

He said, “There was a real sense of earnestness, which made me go home and think, Let me really rethink my answer and make sure I am giving an answer that is truthful and also respectful. I didn’t want to be flippant. We’ll have three days off for a weekend! No taxes! I think that it’s a real possibility.”

Dwayne is one of the most popular celebrities on earth, as well a the highest paid actor.

The former WWE star said back in 2012 that he has definite plans to enter politics at some point, and that his ambitions could run all the way to the White House.

He says that he’s given the idea more thought lately, especially after Donald Trump won the election.

He said, “I started to really think. Could I make a difference? Could I surround myself with really brilliant people to help me make decisions? Do I care about this country? And when the answers continued to come up yes, then I thought, there’s a good chance.”

The actor has a full calendar until at least 2019.

He’s set to star in films like “Jumanji,” “Rampage,” “Fighting with My Family” and “San Andreas 2.”

He’s also executive producing projects like “Take My Wife” and “Not Without Hope.”
