Ryan Seacrest reportedly wants to ditch his gig at Live With Kelly and Ryan to pursue a very lucrative deal to host and produce ABC's upcoming reboot of American Idol.
"Honestly, Ryan is just not sure whether he wants to stay on as co-host of Live anymore," a source tells Radar Online.
"He is going to stick out his contract, obviously. But NYC does not feel like home to him and he really misses LA."
Seacrest was only announced as the co-host of Live in May.
Just days into his job, Kelly Ripa and him discussed the reboot on air and whether he would participate in it.
"I had said at the end of the series, 'Goodbye for now,’ hoping somewhere it would come back," he admitted.
"I don’t know if I can host it. Do you know the preparation I have to do for [Live] every night?"
