Rollercoasters Take On A Scary New Twist With Virtual-Reality Headsets

Rollercoasters are now even scarier thanks to virtual-reality headsets.

As the coaster (at SeaWorld in Florida) dives, twists and loops, so does the visual action on the headset, providing added effects as riders whizz through the depths.

Riders are surrounded by various prehistoric monsters and other scary thing to make the coasters that much more thrilling.

Riders can choose to have the full VR sensation, or simply enjoy the coaster “au naturel” with its dizzying series of high-speed swoops and barrel rolls.
