Women's Mugshot Goes Viral & Now She's Being Flooded With Tutorial Requests

One woman is being flooded with makeup tutorial requests after her mugshot was shared.

Former Texas A&M University Student Marshala Perkins was arrested earlier this year after cops found two grams of marijuana in her car – and her mugshot, six months later, is going viral.

Wrapping up a Facebook Live from her dorm room where she was recording her makeup routine, friends asked the student to hang out later that evening. Perkins was waiting in her car when the police pulled up and requested to run her license and registration.

Despite her license and registration being fine – the officer smelled marijuana and decided to search her vehicle. Finding two grams of the drug, the 19-year-old was arrested and spent the night in Hunt County Jail.

The following morning, her mugshot was on the Greenville police Facebook page.

Twitter user Mugshot Baes, notorious for sharing mugshots of attractive inmates, shared Perkins’ mugshot in April. It wasn’t until the image re-surfaced months later when a Twitter user retweeted Mugshot Baes, calling for a makeup tutorial, that Perkins went viral.

The 19-year-old’s flawless makeup application was gaining popularity online.

Now, what was once an embarrassing photo has since helped the former student pursue her dream to become a professional makeup artist. She says, “It’s crazy. My mind is blown… Now it’s turned into something so positive so I’m just going to embrace it and see where it takes me.”
