Congressman-elect Dan Crenshaw has revealed that he called Pete Davidson after finding out about the SNL star's suicidal-sounding Instagram post over the weekend.
"I talked to him personally," he tells KPRC2 Houston. "We don’t go back very far. We’re not good friends. But I think he appreciated hearing from me."
Crenshaw continued, "I told him everyone had a purpose in this world. Especially a guy like that: Sometimes he makes people laugh. Sometimes he makes people mad. But he makes people laugh a lot. It was a good conversation."
Davidson received backlash last month when he mocked Crenshaw for losing an eye in Afghanistan and likened him to a "hit-man in a porno movie."
