A Twitter thread was kicked off by a user, who posted a picture of his own mark, before encouraging others to share their own.
One person revealed that she was an inch away from being blind after her sister threw a pence at her when she was just 8-years-old.
Meanwhile, a grandmother revealed she was stabbed in the hand by a pencil 44 years ago, and the mark was still there.
