On Sunday, Justin Bieber challenged Tom Cruise to an MMA fight "in the octagon."
People seemed to take him somewhat seriously, with one oddsmaker installing the 25-year-old Bieber as a heavy favorite to beat the 56-year-old Cruise, owing largely to their age difference, and Conor McGregor offering to both sponsor the bout and fight on the undercard.
On Wednesday, however, Bieber threw cold water on the potential spectacle, telling paparazzi that he was "just playing," adding that "it was just a random tweet."
He also conceded that Cruise would probably pummel him.
