Aries: 9
You would think that Aries would be a generous sign like her fellow fire signs, but that’s not the case. Aries encompasses the selfish aspect of the fire signs.
Aries isn't a rude sign, but those born under this sign are very competitive and like to achieve things and buy stuff on their own. They expect others to put their talents to use and get what they need on their own.
You won’t see an Aries putting money in a street performer’s tip jar because she will think he can use his creative talent to do better things besides play music on the streets of New York City.
Taurus: 10
A Taurus is big on the practicality of money and tries to avoid giving in large amounts.
She’ll give a small, meaningful gift for Christmas, maybe a drink or two for your birthday. Don’t expect her to give abundantly! But she will make sure to give enough so that she isn't thought of as stingy. Taurus is stubborn and doesn't like to give unless she has to.
Gemini: 8
Geminis can be great givers, but they can also “forget” your birthday because you pissed them off. It really depends on what mood a Gemini is in. If you’re on a Gemini’s good side, you’ll be showered with presents and dinners and time, but get on her bad side and you’re not getting a penny from a Gemini. They are the two-faced sign and when it comes to giving, they certainly live up to their nickname.
Cancer: 6
Cancers are highly sympathetic and let their emotions rule their decisions. This isn't surprising coming from a Water sign, the sign most in-tune with their feelings.
You’ll find a Cancer giving their last dollar to a woman on the side of the road who needs a bite to eat because that’s the kind of thing that pulls on her heartstrings. She can’t help herself from helping others who truly need it. Cancers aren't the sign to walk by someone who needs help and do nothing. They love to feel needed and always help the needy.
Leo: 1
Leos love to give. As a fire sign, Leos have a zest for life and enjoy helping others. You’ll catch them lending a hand to others in need and giving not only money but their time and effort as well.
Generosity runs deep with a Leo and their big hearts make it easy for them to give as much as possible. Leos like to be admired, too, so they may post a picture of themselves giving a box of goodies to a person on Instagram to get as many likes as possible.
That doesn't mean they are genuine in giving, though. They truly are fond of giving to their friends, family, and those in need.
Virgo: 12
Another very earthy earth sign is Virgo. Virgos are very self-sufficient and really hate being asked for help and would rather die than seek out help from others. Virgos are probably the last people who would give money or food to a someone with a sign at the stoplight.
She doesn't see how it would help! Virgos are very shy, too, which makes it hard to give to others. She is very good at keeping track of details and likes to stay right on budget.
Libra: 4
The peaceful Libra is keen on treating others as they would like to be treated. This translates over to when they see a disaster relief fund online and they feel compelled to donate just in case they are ever in a terrible situation and need the help of strangers.
They also just want to spend as much time as possible with others. They may bring over your favorite candy and the newest season of the Grey’s Anatomy as a gift just to watch it with you.
Scorpio: 11
Scorpio is hell-bent on being a good friend, but she isn't good at giving. As a water sign, she is emotional and assertive, so she’ll probably just let you know how much she cares by straight up telling you.
But her giving abilities are limited to words and actions. She isn't big on getting gifts, so it’s only natural that Scorpios aren't big on giving gifts, either. Don’t base the quality of a Scorpio’s heart on her generosity or else you’ll be disappointed.
Sagittarius: 2
This is a very light-hearted sign that really wants everyone to have the best life possible. Sagittarius wants to spread the love and happiness they have to others and tend to do so by giving.
If you’re a friend of a Sagittarius, you may receive a birthday present that is almost too much you don’t want to accept it, but your dear Sag friend just wants to show you how much she cares about you.
Sagittarius has an energetic personality that is a gift to anyone and wants to make sure everyone around them knows they are cared about.
Capricorn: 7
Capricorn is a practical earth sign so if she gives to others it will most likely benefit her in some way. That’s not to say she won’t give you the last bite of her chocolate cake after dinner; it just means she expects you to do the same with your cheesecake.
Capricorns are more of a tit-for-tat kind of people. They don’t mind giving you a nice gift or taking time out of their busy day to give their full attention to your problems you are having with your man. They just won’t do so unless they will eventually get something out of it in return.
Aquarius: 5
As an Air sign, Aquarius people are very intellectual and love to help others solve their problems. If solving a kid on the street corner’s problem means giving him a few bucks for water or a snack, you bet an Aquarius with have cash out ready to help.
Aquarius always seem to look at the big picture and in the big picture, giving up a dinner date to help a friend with a breakup or giving $10 to a person in need is nothing. An Aquarius will not hesitate to help whoever needs their help, so you better look out for your fellow Aquarius!
Pisces: 3
As a water sign, Pisces is ruled by emotion and intuition. Pisces allows compassion to take control and give to others as if they were the one in need.
This selfless sign is the friend who checks up on you and makes sure you have enough medicine to get you through your cold or is the one to bring a care package of chocolates and a good book when you are on your period.
Pisces never expect anything in return, either. They simply want to make sure you’re taken care of.
