Emma Stone won her first Academy Award last night taking home Best Actress Oscar for her role in “La La Land”.
Emma thanked director Damien Chapelle as well as her co-star Ryan Gosling. She also thanks Bobb Cooper, the longtime artistic director of Valley Youth Theatre in Phoenix.
Valley Youth Theatre hosted an Oscar watch party for about 75 staffers and boosters to cheer Stone on, and the crowd went wild when her name was announced.
“It touched my heart” to hear his name on national television, Cooper said.
