YouTube is going to launch a paid TV on-demand service to compete with Netflix and Hulu.
It will be called YouTube TV and it will offer 40 TV channels for $35 a month. The channels include the top four broadcast networks, CBS, NBC, ABC and Fox, and top cable channels like USA, Bravo, MSNBC and Fox News.
It won't include the Turner channels, including CNN, Cartoon Network and TNT, the Viacom networks, including Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon and HBO.
The service will launch within the next few months.
