Nick Cannon seems surprised by his potential replacements on "America's Got Talent."
Nick quit the show last month after learning that his bosses at NBC had allegedly discussed firing him over a joke he told about the network during a stand-up set earlier this year.
Now he has reacted to a report that the three finalists to fill his old role are all Black.
He smiled and told TMZ, "Why they going with the black guy? Can't they get some white I think Mario Lopez should do it."
Nick's reaction came several hours after the gossip site reported that comedians Marlon Wayans, Tone Bell and Brandon Mychal Smith are in the running to replace him on the show.
Before he quit, he called out the network in a long Facebook post.
He said, "I will not be silenced, controlled or treated like a piece of property. There is no amount of money worth my dignity or my integrity."
Nick hosted the previous eight seasons of "America's Got Talent."
He said that whoever replaces him should "just have fun with it."
