Did Tyra Take Rita Ora's Job?

Tyra Banks is returning to host “America’s Next Top Model,” which VH1 has renewed for another season.

Tyra created the reality competition series, and took a one-season break from hosting when the show moved from the CW to VH1 for its most recent season.

She still remained the show’s executive producer, and appeared throughout the season while Rita Ora served as the host.

The news of Tyra taking over hosting duties again comes just days after it was announced that she’s also the new host of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.”

For that show, she’s replacing long-time host, Nick Cannon, who recently quit.

Tyra explained her decision to return as host of “ANTM,” saying, “I’m overwhelmed and humbled by the intensity of the ‘ANTM’ fan base whose deep affection for the show led me to have a change of heart. After giving it a lot of thought, I realized that remaining behind the camera wasn’t enough because ‘ANTM’ is woven into my DNA."

The new season of “ANTM” will be the show’s 24th cycle. Production begins this summer.
