A nail salon in Tennessee is under fire for putting up a sign stating that bigger customers must pay more for treatments.
The sign read “Sorry, but if you are overweight, pedicures will be $45 due to service fees for pedicurists. Thank you!” And a picture of the sign was posted on Facebook.
The owner denied that the sign ever existed despite being confronted with the photo of the sign.
But he did say that on occasion he and his wife who run the salon have had to reject overweight people because it is difficult for technicians to give them pedicures.
