United Airlines is facing major backlash after allegedly keeping two young girls from boarding their flight because they were wearing leggings.
"A @united gate agent isn't letting girls in leggings get on flight from Denver to Minneapolis because spandex is not allowed?" witness Shannon Watts tweeted on Sunday.
While United Airlines has since clarified that the girls "were not in compliance with our dress code policy for company benefit travel,” several people--including actress Patricia Arquette--have condemned the airlines policy. "Leggings are business attire for 10-year-olds,” Arquette tweeted. “Their business is being children.”
