Hingham, Massachusetts Police Sergeant Steven Dearth became friends with a four-year-old girl, who noticed him eating dinner by himself at Panera Bread.
The girl decided to sit with him during his dinner break.
The department wrote on their Facebook page: 'It means a lot to Police Officers when people say hi, especially when children approach us.'
The little girl got a Junior Police Officer sticker and the sergeant showed her and her father his police car.
