Charlie Sheen Announces Major League 3 Is 'Close To Happening'

Charlie Sheen has revealed that he is trying to get the original cast of Major League to reunite for a third film.

“We’re trying to get Major League III done,” Sheen tells TMZ. “We’re just looking for someone to write a check. Everybody’s back except, sadly, Lou Brown (portrayed by James Gammon). We’ll do it in his honor.”

When asked if the film will highlight the fact that the cast has aged, Sheen adds, “Oh God, no. It’s a really smart story. It’s a really great script.”

The original Major League came out in 1989, and it still has a massive cult following.

While the second film fell short of expectations, several of the original cast members were not part of the project.
