Actor Robert Pattinson says that he was nearly fired from the set of the first “Twilight” movie that was released in 2008.
The actor told the New York Times that he stirred up some trouble on the “Twilight” set, to the point where his agents had to come intervene.
He said, “I didn’t want to kiss anybody’s butt the entire time. I don’t think I did, anyway.”
He previously said that his method acting approach landed him in some hot water on the set. He was reportedly fighting with various people to the point of almost getting “fired.”
However, he still calls his time in the “Twilight” franchise an “amazing luxury,” and says that “amazing luck” brought the talented cast together.
He said, “I think one of the best things, basically, about being a bit of a sellout, is if you’ve done five movies in a series, you’ve had to accept some responsibility for playing the same character.”
Robert also revealed that he doesn’t enjoy watching his own films, because he’s his own worst critic. He said, “I’ve never seen anyone give themselves such a hard time. I’m beating myself up afterward.”
