At 2:49 p.m. on April 15, 2013, two homemade bombs went off within 12 seconds of each other at the annual Boston Marathon. They were 210 yards apart and were near the finish line. The bomb took the lives of three people and injured several hundred others including 16 who lost limbs.
A survivor who lost his limbs has a story that will touch the lives of many. So much so, a movie is being made about it.
Jake Gyllenhaal will be playing Jeff Bauman, a boyfriend who's girlfriend is running in the marathon. He's claimed to never go to anything to support her, and the one time he does, the explosion happens... taking both his legs.
The trailer of Stronger is now out and will premiere September 22.
