For two decades now, Chipotle customers have been begging for queso dip to be added to the menu.
“Queso is difficult to make if you’re going to use real ingredients,” says Mark Crumpacker, Chipotle’s chief marketing and developing officer.
With the company's commitment to "real" ingredients with no added flavors, preservatives or colors, they've finally cracked the code and have come up with a queso dip that's sure to rock your taste buds.
The secret? There's only two ingredients! Corn starch and tapioca starch. By using just these two ingredients, it helps prevent the common problem that queso usually goes through, which is separation and formation of the "skin."
In addition to queso's testing, new virgin and alcoholic margaritas, avocado vinaigrette, a mixed green salad and a spicy chocolate dipping sauce for the chips are all being tested.
