Prince is being honored with a new shade of purple, which was developed by the Pantone Color Institute for his estate.
The shade “Love Symbol #2” was named after the trademark symbol Prince developed in the ‘90s, while the color itself was inspired by his custom-made Yamaha purple piano.
Pantone said Love Symbol #2 “will be the official color across the brand he left behind.”
