First Wives Club Gets TV Reboot By Girls Trip Writer Tracy Oliver

Beloved '90s romcom The First Wives Club is being turned into a TV series with a script penned by Tracy Oliver, co-writer of the 2017 box office hit Girl's Trip.

Like the movie, the TV show will focus on a group of women seeking revenge in the wake of their divorces.

Oliver took to Twitter to hint that fans can expect a diverse take on the original film. "My mom, sis and I loved the hell out of this growing up! Dumb excited to be adapting for TV with a diverse cast," she tweeted about the revival on Monday, along with a winking emoji.

The First Wives Club will air on Paramout Network, which will replace Spike TV on January 18, 2018.
