Serena Williams stepped out for the first time since giving birth to her baby girl on Monday (Nov. 13) night at the Glamour Women of the Year Awards.

The tennis superstar welcomed newborn Alexis Olympia with her fiancé, Alexis Ohanian, on Sept. 1 and the little beauty weighed in at 6 lbs and 14 ounces. Now, Williams is getting back out there, in the spotlight, and her first intro back was honoring Gigi Hadid at the Glamour event. As soon as the athlete hit the red carpet, heads turned because no one could believe that Williams had given birth just a couple of months ago.

While honoring Hadid with the Woman Of The Year award, Williams said onstage, “Gigi, you are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for — for one night — but for you, it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the effect you have on the world.”

The new mom added: “Gigi, you are one of the few people on this planet I would leave my baby for — for one night — but for you, it shows how much you mean to me. And I want you to imagine the effect you have on the world.”
