21-Year-Old College Student Gets Flowers From Dad Years After Death

A college student says her father sent her flowers on her 21st birthday, years after he died.

Tennessee college student, Bailey Sellers, posted a simple thank you note on social media that has caught fire on Twitter.

She posted a photo of the flowers and tweeted, "My dad passed away when I was 16 from cancer and before he died he pre payed flowers so i could receive them every year on my birthday. Well this is my 21st birthday flowers and the last. Miss you so much daddy."

Her post had drawn more than 330,000 retweets and more than 1.4 million likes by Sunday afternoon. The post drew media attention across the country, and around the world.

Country music star Cole Swindell also posted well-wishes, and Bailey responded that he was her favorite singer. She said her father would be impressed by the intense social media interest. She said, “He would be very proud. He would honestly say it was God. He’d be very proud that it touched a lot of people.”

Already been the best birthday of my life. Thank you to everyone who shared my dads flowers and note today. ❤

Happy birthday daddy you have no idea how much I miss you. I can't believe this is your 5th birthday in heaven. Everyone said this would get easier but it defiantly hasn't. 💜
