An Arkansas couple, who once ate at Olive Garden daily for nearly seven weeks straight, now plans to name their first child, Olivia Garton.
Justin and Jordan Garton’s baby girl is due in December, and they say they grew up going to Olive Garden. Jordan says, “I just love Italian food and growing up in Arkansas that’s pretty much one of the only Italian places that we ever got to go.”
In 2015, shortly after they got married, the Gartons purchased a "never ending pasta pass" from Olive Garden. The $100 pass allows customers to have unlimited pasta and soft drinks for a limited time. Justin says, “We committed to eating there every day for six or seven weeks to get our money’s worth. It saved us several hundred dollars when we really needed it.”
A tweet from Justin showed a onesie with Olivia’s name on it, and it caught the eye of Olive Garden officials. A company spokeswoman says that they have sent a “little surprise” to the Gartons already and plan to send food and gifts when Olivia arrives.
Their daughter will also have unique initials. Olivia’s full name will be Olivia Michelle Garton, which means her initials will be O.M.G.
People please read the articles from sources we actually spoke to personally! WE DIDN'T NAME HER AFTER O.G.!! It was a happy coincidence, stop taking things so seriously!! 😡— Justin Garton (@JustinGarton) November 25, 2017
If you can't laugh at yourself lol well..... 😂 just so we're clear she's not named DIRECTLY after O.G. or we would have stuck with Olive 👍https://t.co/GJ63NLCBdf— Justin Garton (@JustinGarton) November 22, 2017
