Beyoncé Teams Up With Gucci To Build 80 Wells In Burundi

Beyonce celebrated World Water Day on Thursday by announcing a new partnership with Gucci and Chime for Change.

People reports that the partnership was created with the intent of building 80 for the people of the East African nation Burundi, which will give 120,000 more people access to clean water.

Since launching her BEYGOOD4BURUNDI initiative with UNICEF in 2017, Queen Bey has provided programs to bring clean, safe drinking water to the landlocked East African nation with efforts to improve water, sanitation and basic hygiene practices for the population.

In 2017 alone, 35 wells were constructed in Burundi. Gucci’s $1 million commitment to the project will help support the goal of reaching 475,000 children and families by 2020.
