Taylor Swift made a surprise appearance at the Bluebird Café in Nashville on Saturday--the same place she was discovered as a teenager.
The Tennessean reports that the 28-year-old pop star appeared as a guest of country songwriter Craig Wiseman and received a standing ovation. She performed her hits "Love Story" and "Shake It Off," as well as a cover of Little Big Town’s "Better Man," which she wrote.
Taylor also took shots of Fireball whiskey with Wiseman and paid tribute to the venue.
"I wanted to say a big thank you to the Bluebird Café," Swift told the crowd. "I think any songwriter in town would echo my sentiments and say that this is kind of the only place where this exists--this particular place where you get to come and hear the writer’s take on the songs they’ve put out into the world."
