Ryan Reynolds' alter ego Deadpool has made amends for mocking David Beckham in the franchise's first film.
In a clip Reynolds tweeted on Thursday, the soccer star is seen rewinding the offending Deadpool clip (“You ever heard David Beckham speak? It's like he mouth-sexed a can of helium”) only to discover a contrite Deadpool at his door.
Reynolds-as-Deadpool proceeds to offer Beckham milk and cookies, balloons, a mariachi band, and, finally, soccer tickets as apologies.
Thankfully, Beckham accepts his gestures with a hug and the admission, "I can't stay mad at you."
Deadpool 2, the next movie in the series, is due in theaters on May 18.
