On Tuesday's episode of America's Got Talent, 13-year-old singer Jeffrey Li revealed that he wants to win the show's grand prize of $1 million so that he can buy himself a dog.
Simon Cowell seemed amused and promised that if the teen nailed his audition, he would buy him a dog.
Li went on to perform an impressive rendition of Josh Groban's "You Raise Me Up." The judges compared him to "an angel" and "a young male Celine Dion."
But Li was likely most excited about Cowell's feedback. "Jeffrey, I think this was an amazing audition, so I'm gonna keep my promise," Cowell declared. "Not only have you got four yeses, you've got yourself a new dog."
