A 30-foot guitar installed outside of the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Atlantic City in New Jersey had to be altered after passersby noticed it featured a massive typo.
UPI reports that the larger-than-life sign was installed on Thursday and featured a rhythm and treble pickup selector switch with the misspelling, "R-H-Y-T-H-E-M."
Officials said the mistake was corrected Thursday afternoon by removing the extra "e."
A 60-foot version of the sign was installed on Saturday and did not include the same mistake.
How does happen?!? No one proofread this at any point in the process?— W.L. Lewis (@ArtMusicLife) June 23, 2018
Big typo: The soon-to-open Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City works quickly to fix a misspelling in the word 'rhythm' on a 30-foot-tall guitar installed this week. https://t.co/IldTmFuSml (@AP_Oddities) pic.twitter.com/czrZYE9JY3
