The first teaser trailer for Disney’s live-action remake of The Lion King has become the company’s most watched trailer in a 24 hour period ever.
Variety reports that the spot, which premiered on Thanksgiving Day, accumulated 224.6 million views globally in its first 24 hours of release.
Across all studios, it’s the second most watched teaser, behind that of Avengers: Infinity War, which tallied 238 million views.
The trailer itself features James Earl Jones voicing the character of Mufasa and telling his son Simba, “Everything the light touches is our kingdom.” The clip also features shots of the African wilderness and a re-creation of the opening scene from the 1994 film.
In addition to Jones, the cast includes Donald Glover as Simba, Beyonce as Nala, Chiwetel Ejiofor as Scar, and Alfre Woodard as Simba’s mother Sarabi.
The Lion King is set to hit theaters on July 19, 2019.
