Actress Felicity Huffman Arrested By FBI Agents With Guns Drawn

Earlier today, news broke that actresses Lori Loughlin of Full House and Felicity Huffman of Desperate Housewives had been indicted along with 40 other people for conspiracy to commit mail fraud and honest services mail fraud as part of a bribery scheme. Those charged were accused of using bribes to help their kids get into college. According to TMZ, Huffman was aware the feds were targeting her, but was surprised at 6 a.m. when seven federal agents showed up at the Hollywood Hills she shares with her husband, actor William H. Macy, and their two daughters, to arrest her. Sources familiar with the arrest claim that the agents drew their weapons and ordered Felicity to come out of her house and surrender. Huffman and the rest of her family were asleep when the agents showed up.

Those close to the actress say she knew her arrest was imminent and would have surrendered on her own, but the feds didn't want to wait. FBI insiders told TMZ guns were "drawn as a precaution. It's always left to the agents' discretion whether to draw a firearm during an arrest."

Huffman was brought to a federal building where federal marshals processed her. She's accused of making a charitable contribution of $15,000 to be part of a college entrance exam cheating scheme that benefitted her older daughter. The girl allegedly was given twice the amount of time to take the SATs as other students, and the test proctor was paid to fix incorrect answers. Indictment docs say Felicity's daughter got a 1020 on her PSAT but managed a 1420 on her SATs.

No word on if Lori Loughlin had a similar experience this morning but she and her husband allegedly forked over $500,000 to have their two daughters designated as recruits for the crew team at the University of Southern California.
