“Game Of Thrones” Final Episode Lengths & Dates Revealed

After months of rumors, HBO has confirmed that the first two episodes of the eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will be shorter than the rest.

According toVariety, the network announced Friday that the April 14 premiere will be 54 minutes long and episode two on April 21 will be 58 minutes long. The remaining four episodes will run closer to the 90 minutes per episode rumor that leaked when the final season was confirmed.

Former HBO chief Richard Plepler previously said that the final episodes are closer to “six movies” than television episodes.
