Last month, everyone was heading to Popeyes to taste their new chicken sandwich. In fact, so many people bought the sandwich that it sold out just two weeks after it was released. Now, there are reports that it won't be back in stock until October, meaning hungry customers will have to wait at least four weeks for the delicious buttermilk battered boneless chicken breast fillets and sour pickles on a buttered brioche bun. However, even if you don't have amazing skills in the kitchen, you can still whip up your own version of the sandwich in the comfort of your own home.
Some helpful chefs have posted do-it-yourself videos on YouTube, giving step-by-step directions on how to create the tasty meal - and it isn't too complicated.
A rep for Popeyes said they don't "have a date to share at this time - but are working to get the sandwich back in restaurants as soon as possible!"
