Cutest Puppy Named "Narwhal" With Second Tail On Its Face Rescued

You won't believe this "tail" of a miracle puppy's adorable rescue! TODAY reports that a pooch with a second tail on its face has been taken in by a Missouri rescue shelter for special-needs pets.

"I looked at him, and I was like, 'This is the most ridiculously adorable puppy I've ever seen,'' says Mac's Mission owner Rochelle Steffen. "Then my million-dollar question was, 'Did the tail wag?'

"It doesn't, as veterinarian Brian Heuring found that the extra tail is all skin and no bone. "I certainly do not see anything that's causing any harm or complications,'' Heuring says. "The puppy couldn't be any sweeter or happier. He's really just an awesome puppy."

Needless to say, the dog--who Steffen named Narwhal for his head protrusion--has gone viral.

"Our Narwhal magical unicorn puppy has had so many great people checking in on him this morning!" the shelter recently wrote on Facebook alongside video of him playing. Adds Steffen, "We could probably have like a cage fight over this puppy. Everybody's asking to adopt him."
