On Sunday, lucky New York City subway commuters on the L train were treated to a full Thanksgiving feast, according toThe New York Post. The meal included turkey, mac and cheese, mashed potatoes, greens, and drinks.
Comedian Jodell "Joe Show" Lewis says he's behind the event, and was inspired to do it on the L train because of how disappointed and upset commuters on that particular train seemed to be.
He says he “wanted to entertain and bring a little excitement to commuters as well as feed New Yorkers who might be hungry.” The event took months to plan, he said, but his efforts seemed to bring smiles to people's faces.
“There’s nothing like the holiday season in the city,” said one commuter as she sipped a drink.
