Newest Shortage in New York: The City Is Running Out of Dogs to Foster

New York City is turning into quite the Muttropolitan.

Bloomberg is reporting that a massive increase in pet adoption applications, believed to be in response to residents having to self-isolate to combat the Coronavirus, has caused multiple animal shelters in the Big Apple to run out of animals to adopt. Anna Lai, marketing director of Muddy Paws Rescue and Best Friends Animal Society, told Bloomberg, “For the moment we definitely don’t have any dogs left to match, which is a great problem to have.”
