Lil Wayne has a new radio show and his first guest was rap titan Eminen, Vibe reports. The two rappers discussed everything from ESPN's Michael Jordan documentary, to what it's like to work on new music during quarantine.
“I’m writing and recording a little bit, not as much as I normally do…like I said I’m waiting for us to get past this global pandemic,” Eminem said.
Wayne said he likes to listen to new music, which inspires him in the studio. "I can get a little buzz and go in the studio and kill something, but I still try to go off my regular procedure, and that’s just my natural inspiration.”
Eminem agreed, and added, "When you’ve made so many songs about everything it gets a little tricky…You probably write all the time, and I do too.”
Both rappers also confessed that they sometimes Google their own lyrics, just to make sure they aren't repeating themselves. "I swear to God I do that too! I just did that s**t last night," Eminem said.
The two also said they try to write songs that both satisfy their core fans, but also will resonate with new listeners.
