The upcoming Friends reunion on HBO Max will be there for you... eventually.
On Monday, David Schwimmer told ET that the reunion has plans to finally shoot in mid-August, but those plans may get postponed yet again due to the coronavirus crisis.
"We are hoping to shoot [the reunion] in August, in mid-August, but honestly, we will do it when it’s safe," the 53-year-old Schwimmer said. He added that they don't want to settle for doing a reunion on Zoom. "There has always been a hope that a component of that reunion show will have a live audience, which makes the whole thing really tricky," he explains. "We are obviously not going to risk anyone’s health by doing this."
The reunion was originally scheduled to debut on HBO's new streaming platform back in May, but has been pushed back repeatedly due to the pandemic.
