Aries (March 21 - April 19)
When you want an Aries to respect you, you must be relentlessly proactive. Take the initiative and don't wait for other people to tell you what to do.
Rely on your own abilities and resources to get things done and to solve problems. Embrace any challenge and get in the practice of figuring out things for yourself. Aries always pay attention to that.
Taurus (April 20 - May 20)
Although this sign can be very patient, they don't have a lot patience for people who talk about other people behind their backs. If you want to gain the respect of a Taurus, stop gossiping immediately and always act as if the person you're talking about is standing right next to you.
You need to show respect for others (even if you don't like them) to get a Taurus to respect you. Try to focus on the positive traits everyone has and try to set a good example.

Cancer (June 21 - July 22)
This sign will have great respect for you if you care about others. You need to be present and pay attention to the people in your life, no matter where you are.
If you are genuinely interested in people and care about them, it will show that you are empathetic and that’s a characteristic of a leader. It also shows that you’re not only focused on yourself and that you can give help when needed.
Leo (July 23 - August 22)
If you want to gain the respect of a Leo, you must rise up to their level and be inspiring to others. Be honest about your dreams and goals and you can inspire by encouraging others to follow their dreams, and goals.
If you show your faith in others to follow their dreams and to achieve them, you'll become someone inspiring and respected to a Leo.
Virgo (August 23 - September 22)
If there's something that Virgos respect, it's someone who does their research, their due diligence.
In other words, always do your homework and prep work. Be prepared when you go to a job interview, and when you're talking with friends, listen and hold on to the information they tell you about themselves and the things they care about.
Libra (September 23 - October 22)
This sign does not like confrontation but they'll do it, if it's helping to fight injustice. If you want the respect of a Libra, you need to stand up for others, especially when they're not able to stand up for themselves.
You can't please everyone and sometimes you have no choice and must take a strong stand. Confrontation may be necessary once in a while but try to do it in a diplomatic way.

If you want the respect of a Scorpio, don't be a pushover. Aim for kindness over niceness. If you're too nice to everyone all the time, it’ll make your niceness seem really fake.
Scorpios hold honesty in high regard, so its important for you be your real self — learn how to separate kindness from being a victim and stop having others take advantage of you.
Sagittarius (November 22 - December 21)
For Sagittarius, respect is for people who are open-minded but have a strong sense of their own personal moral code. Ask yourself what’s important to you and what you believe while still being open to what others believe in, and in what you still have to learn.
If you can be non-judgmental without being weak or indecisive, you'll earn the respect of a Sagittarius.
Capricorn (December 22 - January 19)
When you want to earn respect, from a Capricorn, it's important to learn how to control your emotions. That's not to say don't have any feelings, just know the difference between responding and reacting.
Try to curb your instant reactions to things that make you highly emotional. If you overreact to something, Capricorns will think that you’re someone who easily loses control and that's not a quality that people want in a leader. Be careful with going overboard.
Aquarius (January 20 - February 18)
It's very important for an Aquarius to help others and they pride themselves on being true humanitarians; therefore, the best way to earn the respect of an Aquarius is to add real value.
If you're part of a community, a company, a team, or even a group of friends, you'll be respected if you always come up with ways to offer value to others. By offering something of worth to people, you're solving a problem for them and people will respect you, especially the Aquarius individuals.
Pisces (February 19 - March 20)
Pisces can be very sensitive and can be hurt when people don't come through for them. So, to gain the respect of a Pisces, keep your promises and honor your commitments.
If you took your commitments lightly in the past, get rid of that behavior and only make promises that you can actually keep. Pisces will respect you, if you aren't constantly disappointing them.
