Getting hammered with spam calls? Here’s a weird little trick that actually seems to help.
When a suspicious number calls… answer it, then immediately mute yourself. Don’t say hello. Don’t breathe heavy. Don’t do anything.
A lot of robocall systems are listening for a human voice. If the line stays completely silent, the system may flag your number as inactive and stop calling as often.
It’s not magic, and it won’t stop every scammer… but it may cut down on repeat spam calls without constantly blocking numbers all day long.
