Payton is an Arizona native and was born and raised in Chandler, AZ. She graduated from Hamilton High School in 2016 with hopes to play basketball at the next level. During Payton's freshman year of college, she played Division 1 basketball at Weber State University in Ogden, Utah. She then wrapped up her collegiate athletic career in Portland, Oregon at Warner Pacific University earning a degree in Criminal Justice. Payton originally wanted to use her degree to become an FBI agent or a victim's advocate, but things changed when she was offered a position to be the Associate Producer for the Johnjay and Rich show.

After being a part of the JJR crew for a year behind the scenes… she had the opportunity to become a co-host on her favorite morning show! Payton has been a listener of the Johnjay and Rich show since she was little so being a part of the show is truly a surreal moment for her.

In Payton’s free time, she loves hanging out with her boyfriend and going out for drinks with her friends. She is a tequila expert and loves to spend time with her family. Payton is also an assistant coach for a girls' basketball team at a local high school.
