Dancing With the Stars host Tom Bergeron sparked controversy on Monday night's episode when he made a strange comment about pro dancer Witney Carson.
The remark came after judge Carrie Ann Inaba commented that contestant Frankie Muniz "almost lost control of Witney" during their performance.
"I’m guessing he’s not the first guy who’s lost control of Witney," Bergeron chimed in, prompting some people in the crowd to gasp.
Viewers at home also took to social media to deem Bergeron's comment inappropriate. "I think it was just Make Witney Uncomfortable Day," Muniz has since told Entertainment Tonight about the incident.
Carson herself noted, "I didn’t really get it at first because I was like, I don’t really get what that means, but yeah, thanks. Thanks for whatever that was." She added, "I’m just going to brush it off, and I hope you guys do too.”
