David Spade took to Instagram on Monday to pay tribute to the late Saturday Night Live star Chris Farley, his longtime friend and collaborator. "Still has an effect on me and lots of people around the world," he captioned a shot of the pair.
"Its funny that I run into people now that don't know who he is. That's the reality of life moving on, but still shocks me a bit. If you haven't heard of him, maybe look him up. Lots of laughs I promise."
Farley died on December 18, 1997 from a cocaine and morphine overdose. He was 33.

Hard to believe it’s 20years. Tell the ones you love that you love them. Remembering Chris Farley 20 years after his death: 'People talk about him like he's alive. In many ways he still is' https://t.co/XsHCP6B6rf via @WiStateJournal— Kevin Farley (@Imkevinfarley) December 17, 2017
