Kevin Smith has said that he initially believed the massive heart attack he experienced on Sunday was a reaction to spoiled milk.
“I felt a little nauseous and then I tried to lay down on the floor,” Smith, 47, said in a video posted to Facebook on Tuesday from his hospital bed. “I wound up getting ill, like threw up, but mostly bile, so I just thought, like, you know, I got some bad milk.”
Smith went on to explain that, after he started struggling to breathe, he knew it was time to call a doctor.
The Clerks director was told by his doctor that his LAD artery was 100 percent blocked and if he hadn’t canceled his second comedy show on Sunday, he would have died.
