If you thought you knew how this season's The Bachelor would end, you're wrong.
In a twist that no one saw coming, Us Weekly reports that bachelor Arie Luyendyk Jr. called off his engagement to the finalist he proposed to in order to pursue the runner-up he initially rejected.
The women in question are Becca Kufrin, a bubbly 27-year-old publicist, and Lauren Burnham, a more reserved, 25-year-old tech salesperson, but ABC has yet to reveal who was the fiancee and who was the runner-up.
That scandalous nugget of information will be revealed on The Bachelor's season finale, which airs March 5.
In the meantime, here's what we know: Weeks after selecting his fiancee, the 36-year-old Luyendyk changed his mind, calling the marriage off in what sources say was a very indelicately orchestrated move that floored the poor woman.
After that, he hopped a plane to the runner-up's hometown so that he could profess his love to her instead.
For now, the new pair is taking things slowly.
