Meghan Trainor can do it all. Not only does she take on sexism in her latest single, she turns the video into an upbeat, empowering, candy-colored delight.
The pop singer dropped the video for "No Excuses," the first single from her forthcoming album, on Thursday. In it, she sings, "Why you acting like you never met a lady / I don't disrespect you / Don't Disrespect Me / Your mama raised you better than that."
The clip itself shows Trainor dancing alongside multiple clones of herself wearing '80s-inspired clothing against pastel backgrounds.
When asked about the song and her experiences in the entertainment industry by People, Trainor responded, "Well, mansplaining is very real. It's like, you don't realize you've had those experiences until you look back."
