Demi Lovato celebrated six hard-earned years of sobriety at her show in Brooklyn this weekend with an emotional speech to fans.
Billboard reports that the celebration began when touring partners DJ Khaled and Kehlani surprised her onstage.
"What you've overcome...through dark clouds, you found the sunshine," Khaled told her, while Kehlani added, "You are 100 percent yourself and that is so rare in this world and this industry."
The two then led the Barclays Center crowd in singing "Happy Birthday" to commemorate Lovato's sobriety anniversary before she told fans, "Six years ago, I was drinking vodka out of a Sprite bottle at 9 in the morning, throwing up in the car, and I just remember thinking, 'This is no longer cute. This is no longer fun.'"
